Denver Broncos Quarterback Situation: Siemian, Lynch Or...

Paxton Lynch and Trevor Siemian
Do the Broncos really have a quarterback controversy? I don't think so and here's why. As I have previously stated as far as the Broncos are concerned Just Say No To Tony Romo. The Broncos have two talented young QB's on their roster and that's who they need to focus on.

I don't think a free agent QB is the solution in Denver.

Mike McCoy has rejoined the Broncos as their Offense Coordinator and that's a good thing for them. McCoy has shown what Rick Dennision didn't, the ability to adjust and get the most out of his QB's.

(Disclaimer: Yes, I'm a Patriots fan but I live in Denver and that's why I also talk about the Broncos)

I believe Trevor Siemian will be the starting quarterback for the Broncos in the upcoming season. The only real knock on Trevor is that he has seemed a bit fragile.🚑 Otherwise he has shown poise, good pocket movement, accurate passing and good leadership.

It's harder to breakdown Lynch because what little we've seen of him in a real NFL game he was limited by the coaching staff. They didn't let him just go out and sling it. The game plan was very limited when Lynch did get to see some playing time when Trevor was out.

With a new head coach and new coordinators this could change. Elway very well could have told Vance Joseph that they need to get Lynch in as the starter. I don't think that has happened though. Nor do I think Elway would put his foot down like that.

Looking back at the Broncos last game of the 2016 regular season it does appear Gary Kubiak did though. During the week leading up to the final game he said both quarterbacks would get playing time and we all know what happened. Only Siemian played while Lynch sat and watched. Of course, Siemian was Gary's guy while Lynch is Elway's guy. Gary's now gone and Elway does call the shots so, we'll see.
