Alpine Slide & Hot Springs Pool Glenwood Springs

My trip to Glenwood Springs, Colorado started with an Amtrak Colorado Zephyr train ride from Union Station in Denver to Glenwood Springs which took almost 7 hours, whooo! Long ride but worth it.

Exiting the Moffat Tunnel
The Moffat tunnel is the nation's longest train tunnel at 6.2 miles names after Colorado railroad pioneer David Moffat.

The hot springs pool is interesting. There is that sulfurous smell (you get used to it) but the water is soooo warm. Especially for being outdoors in the middle of the rocky mountains. The hot hot springs pool is 104°!

Now on to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park which is an amusement park on top of a mountain along with natural caves to tour. First we started with a cave tour.

But in order to get up to the caves and the amusement park you first have to take the tram up to the top of the mountain.

Here's a view when the tram gets toward the top of the mountain.

One crazy ride is the swings. Not because the swings are crazy or anything but when they go off the side of the mountain it's like you are flying because it's over a 2,000 foot drop to the river and land below. The view is AMAZING!! The same can be said of the Cliffhanger roller coaster which is right above the swings and when you're at the top of it you get the same amazing view for a second.

I rode the Alpine Slide more than any other ride. It was my favorite. Here's a video.
